The cabins are relatively spacious and clean. Quiet and a good bargain in the off season
We stayed here in a travel trailer on an off-weekend (Kings Dominion wasn't open, we didn't intend to go anyway). What a nice campground! It was clean, sites were spacious. Nicely wooded and plenty of shade. We had a sewer site. If we hadn't, the bath houses would have been quite a haul. There are only two bathhouses for the whole campground and they aren't very convenient for tent campers. The staff here is very pleasant and helpful. I'm so glad this is a KOA now, it really has come a long way. We will be back (but only during the off-season, I imagine it would get really crowded in the summer). Pic is of two cabins. We didn't go inside but they are brand new and really lovely.
Good location for Kings Dominion. Great pool, store, and playground. Friendly staff. Nice placement of sites within the trees. Some fire pits in inconvenient locations.
This campground has really improved this year over last. We enjoy taking the shuttle into the park. Makes for a good family weekend.
Mom stayed here while visiting for thanksgiving. Very clean, and great bathrooms. Lots of big spaces for campers, and some cute treed spots for tents/hammocks. Manager is very nice! Cute cabins, too, but they don't allow pets in those.
